Beading June 28, 2009

Beading is a fun craft that allows you to learn new techniques. It also broadens your imagination and gives you opportunity to earn money. I always go for these three reasons. I just love to make my hands busy and to try new crafts.

I learned to sew a few years back. I made bags and earned from it. I also sewn few of my clothes, my daughter’s and my sister’s graduation blouse. I learned to needlework gowns and blouses too.

I have learned to cook dishes and bake goodies. But I never attempted to make money out of it. I just want my husband and kids to taste good and palatable food. So, I desire to improve my cooking skill from simply survival cooking to better cooking, if not advanced. LOL!!!

Right now, I am into beading accessories, bag charms and mobile charms. I am fascinated with accessories. I do wear them and so I want to learn making some of these girl stuff. Lo and behold, I was able to make earrings, bracelets and necklaces. I invested in beading tools and bought crystals, gem stones, charms, wires, locks and a lot of  gewgaws. My trinketry has allowed me to make handiwork. I am having fun learning to quirk, bead, twist, crimp, and clasp beading materials.

Rain June 28, 2009

I am living in a country where there are only two seasons…the wet and dry…but in the province I am residing… We experience most of the dry season. It seems like rain clouds are always blown miles away and make the downpour elsewhere. This can be a good thing to some. But I am just one of the few oddball who loves rain so much. Yeah call it eccentric.

Yesterday and days before… It has been raining all day. I was so filled with happiness really. Like a child enjoying the pattering sound of the raindrops on our roof… the cold breeze and the wind that enwrapped me swiftly like an invisible cloak. For me, rain makes me still and enjoy life. It makes me go off from all the multi-tasking. The rain allows me to savor relationship with people that matter to me. It makes me relish and bask the beauty of life and the company of my family.

I do love sunshine… but I adore the rain more.

Prison Break Final Break? June 23, 2009

I appreciated this TV series. I admire the plot, the presentation of the story. Every scenes are relevant and never wasted.

Most of my girl friends are loving this TV series. They have followed it since 2005 (I just started following the Series two Fridays back, I really do not have the patience to follow things like these on TV). And now that it has ended, there is this some sort of painful separation that my friends are feeling. I was able to chat online to one of my friends back home. One of the things we talked about is the final season of Prison Break. We threw questions and what-if ideas. We brainstorm of what could have been and might have been of the scenes that we thought have more to tell than plainly showing the series of events. Really, our imaginations were advancing. It was crazy but a fun chat as always.

Going back, Like I have mentioned in my other blog, There are some sequences that were seemingly suspended. To cite one is the body of Scofield. Knowing the pattern of narration in Prison Break, some characters whose tombstone were shown were not actually dead as the story unfolded in every episode. Now, enough of mentioning the obvious though there are still more to point out but I decided to rest my case. I do not want to keep my hope high. It was what it was, I simply refuse to heighten further my inventiveness. LOL.

But yeah! given the possibility that it might have another season, I am an additional fan. I surely will be watching it from episode 1 down to the last. Cultivating all the patience I can get. And should there be none, Prison Break will be remembered as one of the few finest TV series ever created. I am cheering for more of that kind. Yeah, Cheers!

Scammed? June 8, 2009

I have been into freelance writing gig since I resigned from my work. I had mentioned in my other blogs of the circumstance why I quit my career.

Anyway, about this online/ homebased job… it is really cool. I am earning from my passion to write. I get short term projects either to ghostwrite or as a VA. The best thing about this is that I am able to be with my kids and do home school. Plus some “convenience” of being at home on the side.

Everything goes well. Writing gig comes regularly and pay outs are prompt…but not until recently… I have this a “month long”project with a [SEO] company. I worked and used my resources in good faith. Who would think of being scammed? But yeah… i was. I was used and abused… by doing all those rush articles every day…extending late hours til 4 am…

Anyway… he might have gotten away… but I know what comes around goes around. I would [definitely] not initiate the requital [of any sort]. I would not think about it… I decided to forget this thing happened to me but of course moving on with a lesson…vigilant not to get scammed again.

I know I am still blessed and will be blessed because I have God who is faithful and true.

Hacketty-hack June 3, 2009

Few weeks back, my yahoo account had been hacked or so they say got a virus or whatever… this unfortunate event led to sending an email about “MONEYMAKING ONLINE” to all my contacts… funny thing was, I received one in my other email account which I use for business emails, so I was really surprised…and I checked my yahoo email pronto…Lo and behold, emails have been flooding my inbox inquiring that email sent to them…

I went berserk of what happened. Virus or whatever it is…still it is done by someone. I find it so annoying. It is really invading privacy and it boils down to people who lack self-respect. A person who does not have self-respect can not respect others. You can not give what you do not have. If all this person has is self-destruction, then all he can give is destruction to others. He inflicts it to others, be it on someone else’s property or disposition. But the saddest part of this, he will reap what he sow. What goes around comes around.
